I worked Initially for several years as a dietitian in acute and long-term care before choosing to stay home to raise my children.  I would occasionally teach nutrition focused cooking classes for Tops during that time.  When the biggest loser resort came to beaver hollow conference center in 2012 I knew I wanted to be a part of it.  Presenting the nutrition portion of the program opened my eyes to a more holistic view of nutrition and health.  While working at the resort I connected with other dietitians and was given an opportunity to work with patients on an individual basis.

I have lived with Hashimoto thyroiditis myself since the year 2000.  I am constantly learning how it manifests in my body and find that it’s best to approach it holistically.

Over the last several years not only have enjoyed working with patients with thyroid disease but autoimmune, women’s health, GI disorders, cardiometabolic, diabetes, cardiovascular, hypertension, chronic inflammation, disordered eating, food allergies and intolerances, and cancer.

I believe that despite whatever illness we may encounter our bodies prefer to be well.  My commitment to my patients is to understand them as a whole and then to help them to discover and implement the nutrition and lifestyle choices that will lead them on their own path to wellness.
